New Way Stationary Engines

Aim - To serve and support the New Way Stationary Engine restoration community.
There was a New Way Stationary Motor inclined to Hit and Miss. It was designed that way but intermittently it would missfire and this in the confines of the beekeepers shed fired my imagination, grabbing my senses. I just loved the sound of the New Way 3.5Hp working - likely fuelled by a too rich mixture.
With each missfire came the tell tale puff of blue smoke and via the old sawbench, the beekeeping manufacturing business was underway, alive and well. Alf was in his element. Romance, nah, hard work but Hoots the New Way went a long way in firing the imagination of times past running in the present. The present, after all, that's where life is, it's not in the past, but romancing the past, that's the present if you're living it.
The priveledge of life. Present and past is now!!! - alive.

New Way Motor Company Documents

HELLO There!!

Here at "New Way Station" and Library we are always on the lookout for new facts and figures on the New Way Motor Company, factory, dealers and agents. There of course were spread around the globe.

Information is fairly widespread but often hard to find and even more so in good condition. Some documents are now over 100 years old and we find they may have been the target of one or more of the following:-

  • Mice
    • These love eating the edges and making heart shaped holes on the folds
  • Cockroaches - messy critters that don't know about the toilet
  • Flies with dirty feet
  • Rats
  • Mold or Mildew
  • Water, coffee, tea etc spills
  • Mechanics black greasy hands
  • Age - brittle and easily torn pages
BUT - it need not be the end of the line for these documents. It is amazing what can be done to extract the information, copy and again show the document restored with the messy bits all cleaned up.

A LITTLE BIT OF POWDER and  LITTLE BIT OF PAINT sure makes a girl -

Before and Afters :- Some New Way engines used Holley Carbs.

So if you have a good document or a tatty, dirty, moth eaten one covered in grease smears and want to see it available in the "New Way Library" all you need do is get it scanned at 300 dpi to file and send it to us ( geo.covey@gmail.com ) to clean up and with watermark put it in the library. (we will even send you a non watermarked copy for your own)

So don't hesitate - Let it circulate !!

This 16 page document, soon to be in the library came all the way from Florida - Thanks

We also have a Rare Very large "New Way" poster coming Double Sided 2ft x 1ft 6in [460 x 610 mm] that we have had printed outside because of practicality in sheer size and will make available at nominal cost - it's a beauty.
